Assessment of the age of the cardiovascular system and arterial stiffness.
Description
Vascular Age is a simple and non-invasive check-up that examines blood pressure, stiffness of the arteries, and provides a comparison between chronological age and arterial age.
The system used makes extremely accurate measurements. The main parameters analysed are: diastolic, systolic blood pressure and pulse wave; in particular, the shape and speed of the wave is measured. Through specific algorithms, the detected parameters are attributed to rigidity/elasticity.
It is a fundamental screening tool for cardiovascular health in the monitoring of hypertensive patients.
